Our Licence with Havant Council gives us exclusive use of the green and the clubhouse from 1 April to the 30 September each year, with one rink available for public use. The green is normally open for play at 10.30am each day. The Club consists of around 100 playing and social Members. The image we endeavour to portray is one of friendliness, within which there is ample scope for all Members to play bowls at whatever competitive level they wish, from Club Friendlies and Roll-Ups through to County and National Competitions. We have an overall Management Committee of male and female Members for the day-to-day running of the Club. This is supported by a Men's Section and a Ladies' Section whose responsibility is to deal with the gender aspects of the game as required by the different leagues and competitions we are affiliated to. The Club President, in accordance with our Constitution, can be of either sex and will rotate year and year about. Each year, the Club supports a charity. A proportion of the money raised from our social events and all our proceeds from our President’s Charity Day will be donated to that cause in appreciation of the wonderful work that they do. We are fortunate enough to have a qualified Coach who is happy to provide free initial or refresher coaching for those requesting it. New Members are assigned a 'mentor' when they join, an experienced player, who will provide guidance through the first few months until the rules and protocols of the game are well understood through coaching and participation in Monday and Friday Roll-Ups. During the autumn and winter months the Club has an active social calendar which includes cribbage, luncheon and walking groups as well as quiz, darts, reindeer drive, traditional games and skittles evenings.
