Our Licence with Havant Council gives us exclusive use of the green and the clubhouse from 1 April to the 30 September each year, with one rink available for public use. The green is normally open for play at 10.30am each day. The Club consists of around 100 playing and social Members. The image we endeavour to portray is one of friendliness, within which there is ample scope for all Members to play bowls at whatever level they wish, from social bowling, Club Roll-Ups and Friendlies through to County and National Competitions. We have an overall Management Committee of male and female Members for the day-to-day running of the Club. This is supported by a Men's Section and a Ladies' Section whose responsibility is to deal with the gender aspects of the game as required by the different leagues and competitions we are affiliated to. During the autumn and winter months the Club has an active social calendar which includes cribbage, luncheon and walking groups as well as quiz, darts, reindeer drive, traditional games and skittles evenings.
We welcome new members – experienced players and those new to the sport, regardless of age. New Members are assigned a 'mentor' when they join, an experienced player, who will provide guidance through the first few months until the rules and protocols of the game are well understood. We have a qualified Coach who is happy to provide free initial or refresher coaching for those requesting it.
